Due to a period of growth, our high profile client is looking for a Commercial Manager.

The successful candidate will provide high quality Commercial / Procurement support; ‘Internally’ to team members both on day to day activities and as a member of a ‘bid team’, and ‘Externally’ to Clients as required, primarily in the Public Sector but increasingly in the Private Sector such as Financial Services.

We are looking for people who can bring their passion and expertise to an established team of energetic, smart and capable professionals, supporting the group in their mission to deliver user-centred, digitally-enabled service transformation for their clients across the public and private sectors. As a passionate delivery and results orientated Commercial Manager you will be ambitious and prepared to play a key an increasing role in our client’s expansion plans. With a good level of commercial acumen, we are looking for professionals who are confident with and knowledgeable on a wide range of Commercial processes, activities and issues.

You will have gained experience in negotiation and ensuring best value for your clients, and be well-versed with communicating complex problems and risk aware solution options. With your hands-on pragmatism, you will focus on problem solving, positively influencing and guiding clients (i.e. not just advisory) and possess a desire to leverage, build up-on, sharpen and share your current and evolving skill set and develop teams and people and contribute to maturing a commercial capability within the organisation and their clients.

To succeed in this role you will possess:

  • Proven and demonstrable experience gained in a Procurement or Commercial role within the Public or Private Sector

  • Knowledge of EU procurement legislation, processes and rules and how to apply them

  • Knowledge of the UK Government market place and processes

  • Experience in providing presentations to mid / senior level stakeholders

  • Good negotiation and planning skills

  • A good understanding of financial processes and business case development and production

  • Experience of UK government frameworks; CCS, GCloud, DOS

  • Experience in areas of service delivery and change delivery to design commercial frameworks; including, service desk, EUC, AD&M, Networking, Hosting, project and change management

  • An ability to financially model service provision and performance scenarios to create contract schedules and statements of work

  • An ability to understand and if necessary draft complex contractual documentation

  • An ability to design and run Procurement processes and activities (Both in Government and the Private sectors)

  • Knowledge of Bidding processes and activities and the ability to input Commercial aspects of bids (Both in Government and Private Sectors)

  • An ability to operate autonomously and part of a team

  • Good interpersonal skills-in particular the ability to develop and expand relationships with Customers as part of their on-site teams
