In this newly created role, our high-profile client is looking to appoint a talented and senior level Service Design Management professional to join an existing team of Service Management / Architect professionals.

You will possess a breadth of technical exposure and wish to maintain a ‘hands-on’ approach in your delivery whilst providing a first-class technical consultancy service to a diverse range of clients across the private and public sectors.

·Defining new Service Operating Models and Service Specifications and ITT documents to support the strategic direction of our client’s future Service Operating Models.

·Creating process adoption transformation strategies across our clients that enable the adoption of process and tooling through the alignment to their Service Operating Models.

·Designing Operating Processes (as aligned to ITIL and best practice) and standardise those across our clients.

·Informing and advising on the training and/or recruitment of suitably skilled and experienced Service Management resources to support our clients retained IT teams.

·Creating Service Management governance processes (and functional teams) that support our clients Operating Models.

·Creating clearly defined measures, Service Level Targets, Critical Success Factors that are baselined and incentivised for adoption across our clients.

·Supporting and driving our client’s IT functions to enable a drive to cultural change that supports adoption of standardised processes and practices.

·Influencing and supporting the strategic direction, development and governance of “organisation” workflow tools of choice across our clients.

·Defining and driving the adoption of strategic tooling capabilities (to underpin all in scope processes) across our clients.

·Stabilising and standardising processes and working practices across our clients.

As a Service Architect, you will be working with service designers to ensure that their proposals are rooted in technically and commercially viable components. This means you will be familiar with service blueprints and user journeys, and you’ll believe in putting the user at the heart of the services we deliver.

The appointment will also see you working with commercial and procurement specialists to create invitations to tender marrying technical innovation with operational excellence and commercial value, driven through procurement approaches that are appropriate to the service. Working on complex disaggregations from long term monolithic single supplier arrangements to flexible multi-supplier models

You’ll work with delivery managers to hold them true to the high-level designs, whilst taking pragmatic decisions to ensure deliverability to time and budget.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for the following in you:

·Skilled at writing concise and lucid technical documents and reports for senior management.

·Able to communicate with CIOs and users alike.

·The vision to anticipate problems and issues as well as the creativeness to provide solutions.

·A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject to demonstrate you have enough technical knowledge to perform well in the role.

·ITIL V3 Qualified

·Experience of modelling techniques and tools – process, applications, data and technology

·A detailed knowledge of service delivery concepts, techniques and tooling with strong operational understanding of service supply chains
